Failed the NCT on headlight aim? We reset your headlight beam alignment properly, in about an hour, at our workshop in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. Headlight aim is one of the most common NCT failure items, and it is also one of the cheapest to put right. Beams that sit too high dazzle oncoming drivers; beams that sit too low leave you with far less road lit than you should have. Either will fail the test. What we do: we check both headlights on proper beam-setting equipment, adjust the vertical and horizontal aim to the correct specification for your vehicle, and confirm the cut-off line is where it should be. Where a headlight has been replaced, resealed or disturbed, we re-aim it afterwards so the new unit is set correctly. Price: 50 euro. Time: about 1 hour. Most cars are done while you wait. We also carry out headlight restoration, condensation repair and DRL repair, so if the aim is not the only problem we can tell you straight away.
