Condensation, misting or water sitting inside your headlight? We open the unit, remove the moisture, find where it is getting in, and reseal it properly at our workshop in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. Condensation is not just cosmetic. Trapped moisture corrodes reflectors, shortens bulb and LED life, and will fail the NCT if it is bad enough to affect the light output. It rarely clears on its own, and drilling holes in the housing - a common internet suggestion - makes it worse. What we do: we remove the headlight, open it under controlled heat, dry the interior fully, clean or restore the reflector where it has started to dull, replace failed seals and vents, then reseal the unit and test it. Where the lens is cracked or crazed we repair or replace the lens rather than the whole assembly. This is also our service for more serious headlight damage generally - deep scratches, crazing, cracked housings and internal faults on units other garages have written off.
